I have been a DONA International Certified Doula and have been doulaing since 2003. I support families through labor and delivery whether it is their first baby or their 10th baby.  I have attended many natural births as well as births when medical helpers’ invaluable skills and expertise has assisted in bringing new life into this world.   There are a wide range of options and beliefs about birth and I honor parents’ conscious decisions and desires for their unborn children.   I work with families who desire natural births as well as those who choose epidurals as well as those that require inductions and cesarean sections to bring their babies into this world.  

As a Hypnodoula with Hypnobabies, I have learned that many birthing families find that hypnosis helps them discover their own power and strength, and transform bringing their children into this world into a memorable experience that they will cherish.

I also teach Birthing from Within classes incorporating Birth Art, Storytelling, Labyrinths, solution focused dialogue and other unique Birthing from Within processes into my private and birth preparation classes where I also teach physiology and about common interventions.  As I continue to hone my skills  through additional trainings, I facilitate for my clients’ discovery of their own voices and inner wisdom.   In 2019, I became a Certified Birthing from Within Mentor.

 Through Birth Story Medicine, a discipline in which I have trained in the past few years, I love to collaborate with my clients to find spiritual, Sacred sparks that are within each of us, and when there has been trauma and pain, to help heal and transform those memories.

 I now also support parents after they give birth.  I love helping new families feel confident about their new parenting roles.  I put special emphasis on helping new fathers find their own voices and inner wisdom.  The transition to parenthood in those early days can have many twists and turns, and my wish and dream is to transform this potentially stressful time with nonjudgmental support into a time of joy and a time to cherish.
